Parvathi devi created a child and made him as a guard while she took bath. While Lord Shiva came, the guard (child) as a guarder didn’t allowed Lord Shiva to enter, as Parvathi devi was bathing. Angered Lord Shiva burned the boys head with his third eye, on returning from bath Paravathi devi saw angry Lord Shiva and the headless child. She felt mistake and got in deep sorrow, then Lord Shiva joined a elephant head to that body and named him as Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha formed by both Lord Shiva and Lord Parvathi, above neck he has elephant head; brahamam; below neck is the human body; maya.
