What kind of remedy should be adopted in what situation? Do all kinds of remedies like Mantra, Yantra etc. be performed equally for any problem, any time?
Ans.
Remedy is normally required for a planet which is active by virtue of Dasha or transit, but is benefic and weak, or is malefic and strong. That is, it is not either able to give good results to its full capacity, or is giving bad results, which have to be checked. If that planet is sit-ting in a earthy sign in the natal horoscope, stone should be suggested, if in fiery sign, Yajna should be per-formed, if in airy sign, Mantras are useful and if in watery sign, alms or throwing things in water helps. Normally, stone wearing enhances power of a planet and throwing items in water reduces power of a planet whether the planet is good or bad. So if a planet is malefic but strong, then stone should be avoided and if a planet is benefic but weak then stone should be worn and its items should not be thrown or given in alms. Mantras and Yajna increase the benefic power of the planet only, without creating any loss. So whenever a planet is active, its Mantra Jap and Yajna should be per-formed for better results.

Do different systems on astrology or predictive sciences give same results?
Ans.
There are various systems of prediction like palmistry, numerology, astrology.
In astrology too, there are various systems, like Jaimini Parashara, Neel Kanthi etc. Every system has its own benefits and shortcomings. Some systems are better than the others. If the fact of life is represented by a straight line then the various systems can be denoted by various graphs like A, B, C, which touch the reality of life only at few points. At some points they are far off. How-ever, when one system is at a distance from the truth, other system touches the reality. This is the reason why we believe in so many systems. However, taking average may not always give us better results, e.g. if system A is at + 10% level of accuracy and system B at +20% level then the average is+15%, which means averaging has spoilt the results of system A. Averaging may be good if one system is at negative level of accuracy and other at positive level. But we never know where west and in our prediction for any future event, whereas for past we can always take average, or apply different systems to know why that event happened. So it is suggested that one should adopt one system and practice more and more to bring it close to the line of reality.

Which is the best predictive science astrology, palmistry, numerology or any other and why?
Ans.
Compared to all other predictive sciences, Indian system of astrology is known for its accuracy, reliability and in-depth analysis. Other systems are used either in the absence of reliable birth data, or in the absence of its interpretation. Astrology is the only system where pre-dictions can be made precisely with time.

Should Ayanamsa be used? Which Ayanamsa should be used?
Ans.
The planets move as per their Nirayana value in the sky. This can be easily checked by matching Moons movement through various zodiac signs. Chaitrapaksha Ayanamsa, popularly known as Lahiri Ayanamsa, only has the scientific approval of the inter-national astronomers and this should only be used, irrespective of what results you get astrologically. You should modify your astrological rules to suit the astronomical computations, but not vice versa.

Should we rely on Dasha or Gochar? If Dasha is good and Gochar is bad then what will be the result?
Ans.
Dasha and Gochar, both are equally important in determining the event in a horoscope. However Gochar can be accurately known, but Dasha is very sensitive to time of birth and cannot be accurately fixed. Secondly, there are too many kinds of known Dasha systems and we do not know for sure which Dasha should be applied, when doubts on Ayanamsa also takes away its authenticity. Further Dasha is normally dependent upon Moon degrees only and it ignores rest of the planets. All these shortcomings are not there in the transit system. Hence basing the pre-dictions on transits normally give better results, unless it has been checked that the Dasha system is working properly on the given horoscope. While we are studying both Dasha and Gochar, we can take Dasha to specify the event of transit to specify its strength. If both are favorable or unfavorable then the event occurs with full force. If Dasha is good and transit bad or vice versa, then the results are not clear.

Ques.
Many exalted planets have been seen in the horoscope of a poor man and debilitated planets in a rich man’s horoscope. How does this happen?
Ans.
Normally many debilitated planets in a horoscope make Neech Bhang RajaYoga and similarly many exalted planets give UcchaBhang Daridra Yoga. More-over, the native with many exalted planets is a man of principles and unfit for worldly success. One or two debilitated planets help the native to acquire wealth by improper means in this Kali Yuga.

Ques.
It is said that Lagna calculation is dependent on place, whereas planet degree calculation is independent of it. But when we compute Lagna by converting time to IST and compute planet degrees without con-version, we get wrong values. Why? What is the correct method?
Ans.
It is rightly said that Lagna is dependent on place of birth, whereas planet degrees are independent of it, because they are computed for the centre of the earth. Ephemeris shows planet degrees for a given time zone like IST. So the time of birth must be converted to IST to use such tables. But Lagna must be computed for the place of birth only, because changing the place, say from London to Delhi, will create an error of 5 ½ hours later in U.K. Similarly other signs also rise 5½ hours later there.
Accuracy of the results computed can be verified by checking that Sun has to being 10th house at noon, in 1st house in the morning, in 7th house in the evening and in 4th house at midnight. This is irrespective of the place of birth.

Ques.
How much importance can be imparted to Shodashvarga?
Ans.
Shodashvarga system was propounded by our sages in such a manner that exact position of the planets could be ascertained without assigning any degree value to it. Secondly, these Vargas have not been made like we make today. Then we only assigned lordship and lord-ship signified the results of that planet. These Vargas should not be taken at par with Lagna chart and should not be used in predictions like supplement to Lagna chart, unless some Yoga specifies the results of a planet in a particular Varga. In practice, these Vargas confuse a general astrologer. He starts taking the planet's exaltation or debilitation. He also starts taking aspects and placement of other planets with the planet, thus deviating from the basic results.

Ques.
In predictions what is more important planet, house or sign?
Ans.
In Indian system planet is most important and house is next to the planet in importance. This is probably to make things easier. In the system of Lal Kitab sign has been dropped totally, after confirming the house in which a planet is sitting. Planet in a house makes significance in prediction, whereas planet in sign only gives knowledge about its strength. This strength further gets modified due to presence/aspect of other planets.

Ques.
Does one get affected by someone else's horoscope? If yes, then what is the sanctity of the horoscope?
Ans.
Like one is affected by planets, he is affected by any other item in his vicinity. Everybody has a gravitational pull small or large. Effect of planets is visible because of their large mass. Stars of much higher mass do not have that much of effect be-cause of their large distance. Secondly, our power of computation is limited. Just the nine planets and twelve signs make so many combinations that it is difficult to correlate them with life.

Horoscope having just nine planets is not the complete representation of what we are. But it is able to take care of maximum of our future with minimum of complexity. That is why we study a horoscope. Deviations to it due to others living or non living can be adjusted by studying the past and fitting that to the planet’s effects. In brief, presence of others does not destroy the importance of the horoscope.

Ques.
If in one accident many lives are taken, does that indicate similarity in everyone’s horoscope?
Ans.
The horoscope of the place or a vehicle, in which passengers are travelling, supersedes the horoscopes of the natives. Hence, in a calamity everyone's horoscope does not necessarily indicate death. However, this point needs further research and views from the readers.

Ques.
We take Muhurtha for something. Does it change the fate of the person?
Ans.
Muhurtha gives us an idea about the future of the task that we do; for example, oath ceremony of ministry gives idea about the government; starting moment of business gives us knowledge about how the business will go etc. To have a good future we select a good Muhurtha. Knowledge is strength and knowing the future of deeds in advance can definitely guide our future better. However, we cannot totally reverse the direction of the fate. So many times we find things do not happen at the time of best Muhurtha, or after the event we come to know that the computations were wrong. This clearly indicates we cannot change the destiny. Still nature has provided us with hands to do something and mind to think. We should use it optimally, but without having keen de-sire for the best ; it will occur only if it is in fate.

Ques.
Can we remove the ill effect of 7th house by doing a proper matching?
Ans.
Answer to this question lies in the previous answer. We can aspire for a better married life by having a better matching, but fate cannot be overruled.

Ques.
Contradictory Yogas are formed in ones horoscope. What is correct in such a situation?
Ans.
Contradiction is part of any behavioral science. Take the results either by strength or by the number of times it occurs.

Ques.
What is the importance of Chalit chart and how should it be used?
Ans.
House is next to planets in importance for its role in astrology. Lagna chart shows house only approximately. Actual house position is governed only by Bhavachart or Chalit chart. Hence Chalit chart cannot be ignored in astrology. But use it cautiously, because it should not be used for determining the aspects, or knowing the sign in which a planet is posited. If a Sun moves from Lagna to 12th house while it was in Aries in Lagna chart, then it does not mean that Sun has shifted to Pisces. It remains in Aries, but is placed in 12th house.

Debt analysis in Vedic Astrology

What people don’t realize is debts are always old and never new. According to
theory of Karma we become indebted even for small favor’s we take from others. To
quote an example I take a glass of water from someone to quench my thirst. I
become due for one glass of water to that person who gave it to me. In India it is
customary for house holder to first ask for water to drink when ever any one comes
to his home. Generally people coming from out side would be thirsty and would
accept water. This way the house holder ensures water for himself in any number of
births.

If this is or a glass of water we can imagine how much debt we accumulate over a
life time to our family friends and other strangers by accepting their generosity.
Vedic astrology provides proof of such indebtedness to our spouses and children.
The sixth house in a horoscope stands for debts, diseases and enemies. It can
always be seen that the 6th house in the horoscope of father is connected to 1st
house or Moon of wife and children indicating father’s debt to them. So long as
this debt remains they also remain with him.

I will quote my own case .My birth moon happens to be very strong and is placed in
cancer sign.

My wife’ Moon is in Sagittarius the 6th house from cancer, and my son’s both
ascendant and Moon are in Sagittarius and my daughters ascendant is Gemini 7th
from Sagittarius indicating my loan to her is out of her being my business partner
in some other life.
This debt is known as “RINA” in Sanskrit and the bond which comes out of our debts
is known as RINA BANDHA.

This is very useful tool for marriage matching. Since the husband and wife must be
indebted to each other from previous births they should have mutual Rinabandha.
The monetary kind of debt is shown by the ascendant lord being placed in the sixth
house itself or in conjunction with or an aspect by the 6th lord. This we may
call as an affliction to the ascendant lord and the severity is revealed by the
intensity of malefic aspect on him.

There is a combination called as the Daridra yoga or yoga for poverty. This
happens when the Lord of the 11th house is placed in 6th 8th or 12th houses from
the ascendant. Such a native will collect huge debts, will be very poor, will be
mean and commit sinful deeds.

There is another one called KEMADRUMA yoga. In this the Moon stands alone in the
horoscope without any of the other six planets (nodes are not counted for this) on
either side of it and there is none in any quadrant from Moon. Such a native
suffers from poverty and ill fame.

Just as there is good in every thing, there is a combination known as SATRU MOOLA
DHANA YOGA. It means wealth with the help of enemy. This happens when the 6th lord
joins the 2nd lord and is aspected by Mars.

To quote an example say a man wanted to dispose of his house and gave it to an
agent for disposal authorizing to sell it for him. The agent sold the House to his
enemy at a decent profit. So the person gained by his enemy.

The First House
House of Self
The First House is commonly referred to as the House of Self. The cusp of the First House
is the home of the Ascendant, the Sign which was rising on the eastern horizon at the
precise moment of one's birth. By thinking of this in terms of sunrise and new beginnings,
one begins to grasp the concepts of the First House. The new beginnings here are centered
around the individual: the self and the attendant voyage of discovery which defines a
person. Who are you? What will you become? How do you realize your best self? The First
House speaks to the realization of one's ultimate potential. This process of becoming a
unique individual is one of the greatest contributions we make to the world in which we live.
The distinct qualities which we possess are often referred to as personality. The First
House addresses the individual, his or her comportment and approach to life. In other
words, the sum total of one's being. This is the package we give to the world. The packaging
itself, or our outer being, is also governed by the First House -- think the physical body and
the way in which we present ourselves, and in particular, the head and face.
Early childhood is also ruled by the First House. Everything from our earliest steps to our
view of the emerging world is considered here. How will we develop? What is our view on
life? It all begins at the beginning (the First House) and serves to shape us for all time.
In sum, the First House speaks to the person we are becoming and will become, both
internally and externally. It addresses our personality and presentation to the world, our
essential qualities, approach to life, demeanor and basic sensibilities. The inner self and
outer body are what the First House is all about.

The Second House
House of Possessions
House is commonly referred to as the House of Possessions. While this speaks

something, we are in fact claiming ownership of our greatest possession, our self.
Using our possessions, including material goods, to maximum advantage is also within the

which is key to the Second House. What do we value, both tangibly and intangibly? Why do
we value it? Who do we value? What do we really own? What do we want to own? Why? Our
effective resolution of these questions is a large part of what the Second House is all
about.
Specific possessions covered by the Second House include earned income and our ability to
influence it, investments and moveable property (cars, clothing, jewelry and the like). Debt
is also part of the equation here, since we own the responsibility to pay our bills. How we
view money, the acquisition of wealth (and debt), financial reversals, savings, budgeting and
financial status are all ruled by the Second House.
For those of us who believe that money will set us free, it's interesting to note that this
maxim finds a home in the Second House. Personal freedoms as established by financial
capability and sensibility are addressed within this House. To a great extent, our
possessions and what we do with them help to define us as viable human beings. Taking it a
step further, will these material goods help us gain social standing, recognition, friendship
and love? Used properly, they very well might. Therefore, the goal implicit in one's
possessions could be defined as the ability to use those possessions honestly and to our
best advantage and for the greater good. If our possessions work for us and those around
us, what more could we ask? Well, one more question does come to mind: what goes around
comes around? Sounds about right!

House of Communication
The Third House is commonly referred to as the House of Communication. In this House,
much of the communication is going on between the individual and those he or she holds

the Third House, as are short trips. Again, the proximate nature of travel speaks to the

responsible? Will the riches generated by our relationships benefit the group (company,
humankind) as a whole? Our legacies are key to this House: how we conduct ourselves now,
and how that will play out for all time.

I just planned of analyzing earth quake through vedic astrology, according to great astrologist Mr. B.V.Raman studies and study of the available astrological literature reveals that (a) earthquakes generally occur at or near the times of eclipses and new and full-Moon days; (b) the time of occurrence is generally between midnight and sunrise or midday and sunset; (c) planets, especially the major ones, occupy either mutual quadrants, trines or are in mutual conjunction or opposition; (d) the ascendant, the 4th, the 7th, the 8th, the 12th or the 10th house at the place of the occurrence will be generally afflicted; (e) the asterism of the day may belong to prithvi (earth) or vayu (air) category; and (f) the Moon and Mercury will be in close conjunction or in the same constellation.

In solar system all planets placed in position due to the gravitational force experienced by each other, and this reference changes while the large bodies moves, which moves the crust and earth quake occurs.

Ok, now we can analyze many charts and I welcome the analysis from your side also, first I randomly selected a data from an earthquake database website. The data of that event (earthquake) is as follows

First of all in my observation only rasi chart is sufficient while indicating the earthquakes and here asterism of the day is air, including rahu and ketu four planets are in kendras. Timing of an event can be ascertained by Sanket Nidhi, Hora Marakanda and Deva Keerti.

The Gemini indicates Strong at night and strong at day, so predominant night.

Here many planets are in conjunction. The lagna, 4^th, 7^th and 8^th house occupied by planets. 12^th house is in trine with 8^th and 3^rd house. 10^th is in Kendra with lagna.

So we can conclude that earth quake may occur at night on that date. While indicating place is a tricky thing, indicating place is soo difficult. Here we had predicted the occurred event, while indicating occurring event we can indicate the two things,

1. The earth quake will occur or not and
2. The Timing of the event.

The timing of the event can be helpful in indicating the place i.e, with help of the time zone we can specify the area of occurrence and not the exact place.

In above example since it indicates night we can say that the place of occurrence will range from countries having time zone 5 hour east to 1 hour east.

Angered Lord Shiva burned the boys head with his third eye, on returning from bath Paravathi devi saw angry Lord Shiva and the headless child. She felt mistake and got in deep sorrow, then Lord Shiva joined a elephant head to that body and named him as Lord Ganesha.

Lord Ganesha formed by both Lord Shiva and Lord Parvathi, above neck he has elephant head; brahamam; below neck is the human body; maya. Head is soo important in one’s body, head shows intelligence; reasoning and body shows action.Shiva is the intelligence and maya is accepting and acting. ‘Isa’ is always with maya. Shiva is always with Shakthi.

Both of them went to their home, on the way to there home, the elder boy watched a beggar in dirty cloth was begging. That man was shivering due to chillness, on seeing the man, the elder boy gave him the blanket and asked,” Hey Old man! Why are you begging? One man spoke in a meeting. He spoke 14 languages so fluently, no one can identify his mother tongue, and he spoke so fantastically

One man in the crowd asked him,” Sir, what is your mother tongue?” for that the speaker said,” All are my language”. But the man who asked was furious to know the mother tongue of the speaker. After some time the meeting was over, all gone to take rest.

Speaker was in deep asleep. The man who asked him came there and gave a big blow on speaker back. The speaker shouted in pain (in mother tongue). The man who asked about his mother tongue said,” Sir! Thank you! Now I came to know your mother tongue, and sorry for the thing that I did!”

In dangerous situation the great stage speaker used only his mother tongue. Any thing which is more loved by us will automatically show up without our knowledge.

At death time, ones mind will be in deep sorrow, on that time one will not remember God’s name, he will cry of fear. But the truth is that we should chant Shri RAMA’s name. To do that we have to practice from our young age itself, one can’t chant God’s name at his death time without any practice.

‘Ayyappa ditshathar’ says,” Lord! At the time of my death I may not remember your name or due to illness I may not be in a position to tell your name. So, I shall chant your name now itself, please accept this and give me moktsha”.

Bhagavat Gita tells one story; once upon a time a man named ‘Ajamilan’ did only good things in his lifetime. He frequently chanted Lord’s name. Even though he chanted Lord’s name due to karma he did bad things and got bad name. He lay in bed due to illness. After he finished passing all his karma results, his mind got clear and he realized the bad thing that he done due to karma. He thought Lord and he worried about the thing that he has done. At his death time he chanted Shri RAMA’s name and Shri RAMA took him to heaven. He practiced Lord Shri RAMA’s name at his young age itself, so it is possible for him to call Shri RAMA’s name at his time of death.

But one should remember Lord’s name and his blessing; he is the foremost important to everyone. If only the word ‘Narayana’ is enough without thinking him means, the one who goes first to heaven, is CD players and tape recorders

So, one should keep in mind that only God’s name is not enough, we should think of God at each and every time. God says,” If you start to withdraw all the evil things and chant my name, I will take you to heaven”.

Jyotish (Vedic astrology) tells that some dreams may indicate the future event of our life. Ayurveda says ’Dream is the fake. It is not real. It is only due to the mal-functioning of your nadi’. Some people may tell that they had no feeling in there sleep, that is real sleep, a sleep not disturbed by dream. Ayurveda tells that sleep is disturbed by auyrveda and durma shasthra tells that ‘disturbed mind will have a disturbed sleep.’

Remedy:

If you had a dream, take a nice bath and worship your deity. The malefic of the dream will be removed from yourself and you may feel free. Don’t confuse with the dream, which may cause day dream. Do you want the additional distrubance from day dream?

Karma is the reason for our good and bad

Mahabharata war came to an over. Bheeshmar was on the arrow bed. On seeing Bheesmar, the King drama was in deep sarrow and cried a lot. Darma said “you are superior to all of us, no one should see you in this condition, iam a sinner, I prefer to die rather than seeing you in this condition, please tell me the way to live away from sin, so that it may help in my rebirth”.

Bheeshmar said “Darma! Now you are in the hands of your karma, don't thinking that you are responsible for all things that had happened. Mind cannot make sense of the Karma’s shape, it is not understandable. To describe it I shall tell you a old story, hear sharply!”, then Bheeshmar started telling about the Karma.

Once upon a time a snake bitted a boy, who is the son of Gautami, a women living in a village. Arjuganan, a hunter who lived in the forest, got that snake and brought it infront of Gautami and asked her to kill it as a revenge for her son’s death. Gauthami replied in an angry way,” Hunter, please leave the snake, let it go. Don’t kill it, is that the death of the snake brings my child back?, or is there any thing that you have any personal reason for that snake to be killed”.

But hunter is not satisfied with her speech,” I know about your reply, the person who love peace will miss the timely chance. But the person who think every work had to done, won’t miss any chance in front of them and also they will overcome from there worries .So, I will kill the snake now itself.”

Gautami didn’t accept the description given by the hunter, she said,”Virtue is the life for good person, the person who not having mind only feel sorrow. I have no angry on that snake, rather than killing the enemy we should let them go!” But the hunter didn’t accept her and told that he will kill that snake, so that her son’s soul may get in peace in addition to it he said that virtue can be attained by killing the sinner and if he let that go it may continue his killings.

Both of them argued in their sense, Gautami in more concerned that the snake not to be killed, on that time the snake which is only half living started to talk.

“Hunter! Is there any gain for me killing that small boy?, it is not because of food or any revenge matters, Lord yama send me to kill that boy, so the Lord yama is only the sinner and not me.”

Hearing this hunter got angry and showed his power by holding the snake strongly,” only you did that sin and now you are complaining the Lord Yama, It’s all right! Even if someone had told you, you are the one who did that sin and should accept the punishment; I will not leave you as it is!”

On hearing the conversation Lord yama itself came to the spot, he said,” snake!, don’t speak in a manner that you know all the thing, you know that only Kala told me to kill that boy, so Kala is only responsible for the murder. All living and non-living thing all come under kala’s ruling, kala is responsible for creation and destruction, so if you consider that me to be accused you also to be accused!”

Shocked snake told that on one has power to accuse kala. Hunter told that both yama and snake to be accused, lord yama to be dispraised and snake to be killed. Lord yama said,” Hunter you are doing wrong, Kala has to accept this sin, we are not responsible.”

On hearing this Lord Kalapurusha came to the spot,” The reason for death of this small boy is due to his karma only, not me, Lord yama and snake to be blamed. Everyone in this world will come under karma, live according to their karma.They feel worry and happy according to their karma.So, his karma is the main reason for his death.”

Now, Gautami pleased the hunter,” Hunter! Did you hear that, please leave that snake let it go!” Hunter also left the snake from his iron hand, on seeing this snake took a deep breath of relief.

Bheeshmar now finished the story and said to King Darma,” Darma! You have to understand that this world is dependent on karma. Neither you nor Dhuriyothana was the reason for thousands of death in this yuga, the main reason for their death is their karma. Death of everyone is due to their individual karma, you should not bother about that. Kala will give the result for everyones action.”

Why we have to give food for crows?

The beauty of the peacock is increased by its beautiful tail, the beauty for the swan is given by its pure milk like white color, chameleon's specality is that it changes it's color as t thinks. Did we thought of these special behavior, who gave these special behavior?, the reason for these is given by Shri Valmiki Ramayana's 18th chapter.

The following story is told to Lord Shri Rama by Rishi Agasthiar.

Maruthan is the king of Uzirabijam. one time Lord Indra and other devas attended the yaga done by the king. Brigaspathi's brother visvamithra conducted that yaga. At that time King Ravana came to the spot with his friends. All devas had fear on seeing King Ravana's strength and his friends, for there self defence they tried to change thier shape into birds and animal only to escape themself from the strengthful ravana. so Lord Indra changed himself into beautiful peacock, likewise Lord Yama, brother of Lord Shani changed himself into crow and Lord Varuna and Lord Kubera changed themself into swan and chameleon respectively.

But the shathriya, the king Marutha didn't get afraid, he willed to fight with the strengthen King Ravana. But the brahmana Visvamithra told King Maruthan not to conduct war since it may distrub the yaga.

Since King Marutha didn't came to war, Lanka King Ravana gone away from that place saying that the king Maruthan is a coward and afraid to war. On seeing that King Ravana left that place Lord Indra and other devas left reliefed, and they changed them self to their original body, yaga finished successfully.

Since all deva's are escaped from King Ravana, they thought of giving blessings to the birds and animals which helped them to get escape themself from King Ravana. Lord Indra gave beautiful tail to peacock as a thankgiving and he also blessed it that it may not harmed by any snake and any other poisonous animals.

Lord Yama blessed that crow will not get any disease, no one would look as you as a prey, and if any one give you food in their life time their forefathers in yamaloga will be benefited. Lord Kubera belssed chameleon that it can change it shape as it want to escape from enemies at time. Lord Varuna also blessed Swan with intelligence.

So, it is blevied that if we worshiped God during Saturday and giving food to crows on that day would benefit our forefathers in yamaloga. let all of us get benefited from the above story.
