Earth quake:

I just planned of analyzing earth quake through vedic astrology, according to great astrologist Mr. B.V.Raman studies and study of the available astrological literature reveals that (a) earthquakes generally occur at or near the times of eclipses and new and full-Moon days; (b) the time of occurrence is generally between midnight and sunrise or midday and sunset; (c) planets, especially the major ones, occupy either mutual quadrants, trines or are in mutual conjunction or opposition; (d) the ascendant, the 4th, the 7th, the 8th, the 12th or the 10th house at the place of the occurrence will be generally afflicted; (e) the asterism of the day may belong to prithvi (earth) or vayu (air) category; and (f) the Moon and Mercury will be in close conjunction or in the same constellation.

In solar system all planets placed in position due to the gravitational force experienced by each other, and this reference changes while the large bodies moves, which moves the crust and earth quake occurs.

Ok, now we can analyze many charts and I welcome the analysis from your side also, first I randomly selected a data from an earthquake database website. The data of that event (earthquake) is as follows

First of all in my observation only rasi chart is sufficient while indicating the earthquakes and here asterism of the day is air, including rahu and ketu four planets are in kendras. Timing of an event can be ascertained by Sanket Nidhi, Hora Marakanda and Deva Keerti.

The Gemini indicates Strong at night and strong at day, so predominant night.

Here many planets are in conjunction. The lagna, 4^th, 7^th and 8^th house occupied by planets. 12^th house is in trine with 8^th and 3^rd house. 10^th is in Kendra with lagna.

So we can conclude that earth quake may occur at night on that date. While indicating place is a tricky thing, indicating place is soo difficult. Here we had predicted the occurred event, while indicating occurring event we can indicate the two things,

1. The earth quake will occur or not and
2. The Timing of the event.

The timing of the event can be helpful in indicating the place i.e, with help of the time zone we can specify the area of occurrence and not the exact place.

In above example since it indicates night we can say that the place of occurrence will range from countries having time zone 5 hour east to 1 hour east.
